WELCOMING THE STUDENTS BACK TO THE COLLEGE OF THE MOMENT
I bring Solidarity greetings from the Students parliamentary
council, Students Union Government of Federal College of Education,Abeokuta 19/20 led
by the Giant Senator DST. Aina Oluwatomisin John politically known in
the campus as JOHN NAPIER.
The Student Union Government welcomes you all to this great
citadel of learning. The Student Union Government is a body set to take care of
the welfare of students of every institution in which they are found and also
mediates between the student and management community therefore by the virtue
of gaining admission into the great institution automatically qualifies
everyone here as a member of the student union. It is expedient as students of
this great institution to acknowledge the fact that we are here for certain
reasons which the most important is to be certified both in character and
learning that is to say “to acquire knowledge” and be of a reputable behavior
within the period of study and thereafter. The COLLEGE within the
shortest period of its existence has produced notable personalities in the
nation ranging from social, cultural, political and literal dimensional aspects
of life.
It is
expected as unionist to be of impeccable behavior in other to be great
personalities that are to be produced in no distant time from now. How can we
be of good behavior to achieve these set goals?
We must
learn to relate all matters bordering us as Students to the appropriate body
which is the Student Union Government, we must not take laws into our hands in
order not to truncate the unions ability of protection over its members ; the
union will always stand to protect the common interest of students and the
mandate been given to them. In conclusion never forget that we all are the grand
ambassadors of this college and must represent this great college wherever we
are found both in words and action, as prospective undergraduate let’s stay
away/shun all forms of social vices, Examination Malpractices when exam comes,
Prostitution, Rubbery and cultism and choose your friends wisely.
To preventing the spread of Covid-19 in line with the Federal
Government Covid-19 Rules.
Some
Devices and Techniques have been put in place to prevent the spread of Covid-19
on the Campus of Federal College of Education Abeokuta.
In line with these Rules and regulations Students are hereby informed
to follow these rules;
1. Putting on Nose mask both inside the school and class
premises most especially in a gathering of more than 10.
2. Dress properly before entering the school to avoid
embarrassment because you will be address the way you dress.
3. Make sure you clean up the conveniences, wash your hand, use sanitizer and clean up urinary places immediately after using.
I also want to express my unalloyed encomium to our loyalist
students and I am using this medium to commend your allegiances in solidarity
to aluta for the Liberation of our great institutions from the shackles of this covid-19.
I want to hereby use this Opportunity to Announce to you all
that academic activities has started fully, I advised those that are yet to
resume to quickly do so.
Lastly, I still want to Appreciate and Congratulate all Nigeria
Students for their support during the peaceful protest and at same time to welcome
our students back on campus after a long but compulsory break.
I wish all the students of FCE ABK a hitch free session, a joyous, and a danger-free semester as we returned back to campus.
